We would like to thank our passengers who braved the winds and torrential rain on Sunday 29th April.

Already having the disappointment of no working steam locomotive, Sunday’s running was not helped by a power failure at Cheddleton affecting the entire site and numerous trees that had fallen down immediately to the north of Cheddleton Tunnel. Our tree cutter attended site, however work had to be abandoned as more trees started to fall down. The safety of our staff and passengers is paramount importance.

The restoration of our resident S160 locomotive is nearing completion, and we look forward to welcoming back visitors who were not able to enjoy a ride behind a steam train.

Please remember if you bought a ticket when no steam locomotive was available you are entitled to 50 % off another train ticket on production of your original ticket on normal (non special event) days.
